Vaccine Passport Requirements

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador have recently released information on the mandatory Vaccine Passport requirements which will come into effect on October 22, 2021.

With this recent announcement, arenas will be required to scan Vaccine Passports (and see a valid piece of ID) upon entry and are not permitted to allow entry to ANYONE over the age of 18 without one. This means that any parents/guardians that do not have the vaccine passport will not be permitted in Twin Rinks. Twin Rinks will have staff on the doors scanning passports.

As detailed on the government website, children that are eligible for vaccinations (12 -18 years old) will not be required to show proof of vaccination to enter arenas if they are participating in sports. However, spectators, referees, timekeepers, and those assisting on the ice that are between the ages of 12 and 18 will have to show their vaccine passport.
