Those players who are completing high school this season and moving on to post secondary education in the fall should look into the Matthew Churchill and Andrew Ryan Scholarships by clicking on the SCHOLARSHIP link on the home page to this website. Both Matthew and Andrew were proud members of the Caps association and are remembered through these scholarships. As time passes and players lose touch with the Ryan and Churchill families the prestige associated with the scholarships has diminished. As a result there are fewer and fewer applicants each year.

SJMHA encourages all of our graduating players to look into these scholarships and consider filing an application.

We also draw your attention to the Hockey NL Minor Hockey Scholarship. In some recent years there have been no applicants and as a result the scholarship has not been awarded. We also encourage our graduating players to consider applying for the Hockey NL Minor Hockey Scholarship. Information can be provided by contacting President Jack Casey.
